FRequently Asked Questions

1. Can I leave personal items in the vehicle during transportation?
  • While some personal items can be left in the vehicle, keep in mind the following:

    • If the items weigh more than 100 pounds, the carrier may charge an additional fee or refuse transport.

    • If you don’t notify us in advance about personal items and the carrier refuses to transport the vehicle, a penalty of 25% of the total transportation cost will be charged. It’s better not to include this point on the website.

We recommend removing any valuable or important items before shipping for safety and insurance purposes.

2. How long will it take to transport my vehicle?

Our clients are always impressed with our fast delivery times.

Delivery times depend on the distance and specific route, but here are general estimates:

  • Local and short-distance transports: 1-3 days

  • Interstate transports: 3-7 days

  • Cross-country transports: 7-14 days

Factors such as weather and road conditions may cause slight delays, but our team will keep you informed.

3. How should I prepare my vehicle for transport?

To ensure a smooth process, follow these recommendations:

  • Clean your car: This helps document any pre-existing damages.

  • Remove personal items: Unless pre-approved.

  • Check fluid levels and battery charge: Make sure all fluids are at proper levels and the battery is charged.

  • Keep the fuel level at 1/4 tank or less: This reduces the vehicle’s weight and enhances safety.

4. How does CarMovio ensure the safety of my vehicle?

CarMovio works exclusively with verified carriers that meet high safety and reliability standards. We use GPS tracking so you can monitor the vehicle’s location throughout the journey.

5. What factors influence the cost of transportation?

The cost of transport depends on several factors:

  • Distance and route: Longer distances generally cost more.

  • Type of transportation: Open transport is more affordable, while enclosed transport provides extra protection for valuable vehicles.

  • Seasonal fluctuations: Prices may be higher during peak demand periods (e.g., summer, holidays).

We offer transparent pricing without hidden fees, so you’ll know the full cost upfront.

6. What’s the difference between open and enclosed transport?
  • Open transport: This is the most common and budget-friendly option. Your vehicle will be on an open trailer, secured and safe, though exposed to weather conditions.

  • Enclosed transport: Recommended for luxury, classic, or rare vehicles, this option offers additional protection in a closed trailer.

7. What happens if there’s a delay in delivery?

In the event of a delay, our team will keep you informed and work closely with the carrier to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. Factors such as weather, traffic, and route adjustments may sometimes cause minor delays, but we will always keep you updated.

If one driver breaks down, we immediately find another driver to continue the route.

8. Is my vehicle insured during transport?
  • Yes, CarMovio partners with carriers that provide insurance coverage for every vehicle they transport.
